the effect from this item should be permanent, currently it changes back to regular Hati every time i change pets.
still needs a little work see image.

Where you saw that it has to be permanent if you change pets? What I know its permanent while you continue using the same pet but not if you change it…
Fixed scale size pet part.

umm I understand that it stay permanent while you are in that spec and its working that way, I'm not sure if it has to be permanent even if you change spec and then you come back to the same spec with the new model pet…ok I will check if I can fix that, it will be complicated

ok yea changing spec wouldnt matter because you only have hati while in beastmaster spec.
hati should be permanently changed no matter what other PET you switch to. i remember it well because people were upset that they couldnt get the original hati back until they added an option to the npc that gives the essence swapper quest.
