I just came across this by chance and I'm not sure if I'm qualified enough to respond to it.
The quest item Burning Blade Ear, which gives the quest, might have a small issue.
The quest with ID 14232 (Alliance – https://www.wowhead.com/quest=14362/ears-are-burning) is the same as 14362 (Horde – https://www.wowhead.com/quest=14232/ears-are-burning).
Both have the same name and the same objective. Maybe you accepted the Horde version, and the map is showing you the wrong location. Try checking out Sorrem (https://www.wowhead.com/npc=35298/sorrem) .
But only the server operators can really judge whether there's actually a bug or not.

Ok, the issue was with allowedraces for the quest, its alliance item, so you have to abandone that quest and delete that item. Maybe you get dropped horde one later.
The issue is fixed in next update.
